Many breeders do Neos are slow growing dogs, taking 4 years until fully developed. Many Vets try to get pups spayed at 6-8 months. (Their business development class taught them that.) We believe that Neos should not be spayed until at least 18 months to two years old (if at all). They need their hormones to properly develop. While this is common sense, an array of anti-pet groups and activists try to distort medical data to increase the Vet's bottom line or to decrease the number of homeless dogs. However, new studies have shown that early spaying causes many other medical problems.
