Description:

The SCHNAUZER-POODLE is a hybrid of two breeds: SCHNAUZER and POODLE. The Schnauzer is sturdy and athletic, known for his arched eyebrows and bristly mustache and whiskers, the hallmark of the breed. The breed’s harsh, wiry coat must be salt and pepper or black. The breed is very intelligent but can be strong-willed. The Schnauzer’s beard and leg hair should be brushed often to prevent mats from forming. The body coat should be "stripped" (loose, dead hair is plucked out) at least twice a year. The Poodle, though often equated to the beauty with no brains, is exceptionally smart, active and excels in obedience training. The Poodle is a very popular breed. The breed originated in Germany as a water retriever. The stylish "Poodle clip" was designed by hunters to help the dogs move through the water more efficiently. The patches of hair left on the body are meant to protect vital organs and joints which are susceptible to cold.
