Description:
The FriendshipCommunityGarden is hosting its first Harvest Lunch Fundraiser! The fundraiser will take place on Saturday September 24th 12pm-3pm at Londonderry Community League Hall (14224 74 Street). The event is free for anyone who would like to attend but lunch will be charged at $15.00/person and $40.00/family (2 adults and up to 4 children).
The event will include a delicious homemade meal of chili, rice, salad, and desserts all prepared by our gardeners and community members! All proceeds will go towards the FriendshipCommunityGarden to help support our next gardening season.
We will be hosting FREE gardening workshops on various topics including composting, permaculture, and tomato planting provided by knowledgeable volunteers and community members! Guests will also have a tour of our beautiful community garden and will have a chance to win door prizes!
Children and youth activities will be facilitated by our volunteers, we've invited the Londonderry Public Library to facilitate makerspace activities and the Raices Salvadorenas will perform a traditional SalvadorIan dance!
