Hi Everyone! Most of you are probably aware that many of the ads offering puppies/kittens are scams. Particularly the ones that are purebred and "sound too good to be true". It is sad that people do this. Almost half the ads posted here are fake - to get you to put a deposit down for a pet you will never see. ADVICE: #1. Ask to speak with the breeder directly on the phone. If for whatever reason they say they can't - they are not legit. #2. Ask to see specific photos (if they are posting puppies with a variety of different backgrounds - likely fake. #3. Do an image search in google (right click when in google chrome browser). #4. Google their e-mail - google their phone number (several of these ads have ads for a variety of pets under the same phone number...all across the country (sound legit to you ? ;-). #5. If you send them an e-mail to their address and they respond using a different email address - although could be legit, the odds are it isn't. THESE PEOPLE DON'T CARE WHETHER THEY HURT YOU OR NOT. They don't care that your children might be devastated that a pet they were hoping to get was all a lie. Be wary and challenge the seller (if they are legit, then they should easily be able to prove it ;-)
