Weekend Warrior Guitar Repair Course
September 26-27, 2009 - Book Now!
The Weekend Warrior Repair course is designed to teach some basic guitar repair and maintenance to guitar enthusiasts of all experience levels. Learn to troubleshoot, diagnose and fix most common guitar problems. Topics covered include:
• Adjusting the truss rod
• Dressing frets
• Nut and Saddle replacement and adjustment
• Setting action
• Setting intonation
• Repairing chips and cracks in fretboard, bridge and finish
Class size is limited to 20 students. Students have the choice to bring in a guitar in need of repair or work on a guitar already in the shop.
George Rizsanyi is one of Canada's most respected luthiers. He has built guitars for many musicians including James Taylor, Keith Richards, Sting and Peter Gabriel. He also built the Six String Nation Guitar which was recently commemorated with a special edition coin by the Royal Canadian Mint. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn directly from his 30+ years of experience.
