Description:

Special/Genl Relativity Project-members wanted:

I'm interested in forming a team of 4 or 5 members to join a relativity (general and special) research team / discussion group in Toronto. Contact me via email if interested, summarizing your interest.

TEAM GOAL:
- investigate and write a comprehensive paper geared towards the layman (but not neglecting the math by any means) summarizing the development of both the Special and General theories of relativity (1 year time frame)
- meet regularly as the paper evolves
- learn and have fun

TEAM MEMBERS:
- university or college background with some math and physics
- interested in learning the subject matter
- willing to do read, do research in spare time, give presentations to the group on assigned subject matters
- interested in gaining a better appreciation for the theories and the universe we live in
- some word processing skills (may be a good idea to have a secretary whose primary responsibility would be to compose the paper with input from the team, co-ordinate team tasks, meetings, etc.
- open minded
- philosophical
- willing to take a thinking approach to the task
- eager to brush up and dig into the math
- willing to meet maybe once or twice a month with team members

ME:
-45 year old male, BMATH degree 1986, keen interest in physics, science, philosophy
-background in IT but now work as a labourer (which apart from being quite fun, gives me ample time to ponder non-job related issues while on the job!)
-physically located at Queen/Lansdowne

Hope to hear from you!
