Description: Site Superintendent
Job Description: The role of the superintendent is vital to the execution of the construction plan.
Demonstrating Knowledge and experience directing small ICI construction projects,
Co-ordinating subtrades and organizing the materials, equipment and labour needed
to complete ICI projects in a timely fashion.
Will be responsible for scheduling the project using Microsoft Project. Will complete
weekly completion report(s), time-sheets & the managing of trade contractors.
Responsible for obtaining necessary paperwork for "Purchase Material" orders, field orders and back charges.
Qualifications:
Successful candidate will have strong background with 10 years experience in the Canadian construction Industry (ICI Projects).
Strong Knowledge of construction
Strong Knowledge & participation in various aspects of health & safety training/supervision including WHIMS & fall protection
Strong written & communication skills, ability to organize, supervise and motivate people.
Strong computer knowledge & skills using industry related/relevent software such as Microsoft Sofware, Microsoft project.
Strong problem solving skills
Comprehension of drawings, specifications and other technical documents
Monitor project cost control
Ensure quality control plans are adhered to for all work performed
Execute project shedule
Organize regular trade meetings and safety meetings
Maintain a clean, organized, safe site
