Description:

A Senior Solution Architect requires a high level of professional skills demonstrated by a consultative approach to customer engagements. Superior listening, written and verbal communication skills are essential. Effective teamwork and collaboration are critical to the SA’s success. A concern with high quality deliverables and an appropriate sense of urgency at fulfilling customer requirements is necessary. The SA will operate at all levels of the client from engineer to CTO.
Candidates for the Solutions Architect position will satisfy the following skill requirements:
• IBM System p product line knowledge
• Expertise with the installation and updating of AIX
• Knowledge of portioning and VIO
• IBM, EMC and HDS storage platform experience
• SAN design together with Brocade and Cisco MDS product expertise
• NIM Administration
• Scripting with (KSH and Perl)
• Storage Management: Tivoli Storage Manager experience preferred
Understanding of networking TCP/IP and distributed computing concepts

A concern with high quality deliverables and an appropriate sense of urgency at fulfilling customer requirements is necessary. The SA will operate at all levels of the client from engineer to CTO.
Candidates for the Solutions Architect position will satisfy the following skill requirements:
• Strong knowledge of general x86/x64 system architecture including Intel and AMD Opteron memory controller design.
• Knowledge of the IBM BladeCenter System X and System Storage product lines. IBM system tools such as IBM director, ServerGuide and UpdateXpress.
• Hands on skills of Windows and Linux OS, as well as mainstream applications such as SQL, Exchange, IIS, Appache web server.
• Strong skills in VMware ESX line both ESX 2.5 and VI3.
• Understanding of the basic storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS).
• Understanding of the networking technologies. Layer 3 switching and routing, TOE, IOAT. Ability to demonstrate skills on creating multi VLAN switch, router and firewall configurations.
• Ability to design total solution based on the customer specifications including technical Bill Of Materials, Visio diagram, power and cooling specifications
• Preferred certifications: MCSE 2003 or RHCE, VMware VCP, IBM System X High Performance, CCNA or better
• IBM, EMC and HDS Storage platform experience
• Understanding of networking TCP/IP and distributed computing concepts
