Sales Representative
For Marble and Granite
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
2. Obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
3. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
4. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
5. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts by referring to price lists and product literature.
6. Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
7. Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
8. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
9. Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
10. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. +2 years of sales experience, in a similar field is preferable
2. Post-secondary education (college or university)
3. Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word).
4. Ability to learn, remain calm and focused under pressure, multi-task work related responsibilities.
5. Excellent communication & presentation skills oral and written. Organized, self-disciplined.
6. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
7. Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license and has a car.
