The XBOX 360 mod is a software change in the XBOX’s DVD drive. This change will allow your XBOX to play games that have been backed up onto burned DVD’s as well as your originals.
What does the mod involve?
This mod involves opening your XBOX 360 and connecting it’s DVD drive to a computer. At this point the computer will write the new software to your XBOX DVD drive allowing you to play burned games. No chips or soldering is involved in this process.
Will this void my warranty?
No, I can open up the XBOX 360 without damaging any of the stickers. And since this mod does not require any changing of the hardware inside, your warranty will remain intact.
Can I still play on XBOX Live?
Absolutely! This mod is 100% compatible with XBOX Live. Which means you can play the games you have backed up on burned discs as well as your originals on live. Precautions must be ensured, such as acquiring your games from a trusted source and never playing a game before it has been released.
