Description:

Reporting to the Director, the Personal Assistant will provide complex and confidential administrative support in a dynamic environment, and function with a high degree of attention to detail, quality, accuracy and prioritization of work. This person must have technological proficiency (Blackberry), be able to multitask and be flexible and capable of working in an extremely dynamic and high-pressured environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching information and preparing various grant and application proposals, organizing and scheduling events, meetings, travelling and speaking engagements.


Requirements:

• Post-Secondary education
• Completion of a community college administrative studies certificate or equivalent administrative experience.
• Minimum 2 years administrative (or equivalent) assistant experience
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Proven ability to design and produce effective and attractive communication and presentation materials, eg. Statistical reports, summary reports, tables, charts & graphs, PowerPoint presentations, posters, flyers, brochures
• Proficiency with technology is essential
• Practical knowledge of preparation of minutes, agendas, and conference bookings
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Project Management skills
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy, respecting confidentiality
• Proven reception experience with telephone, public and patients
• Strong initiative and ability to follow-up and follow-through on duties with minimal supervision
• Previous Personal Assistant experience
