Position: Network Consultant - Professional Services

Job Description/Responsibilities:
- 50 – 60 % International Travel will be required.
- Provide for Training to customers.
- Provide post and pre sales support for RuggedCom product suite.
- Provide technical product presentation for functionality, interoperability with multi vendors and research
competitor’s products to provide better solutions using RuggedCom product suite.
- Be Subject Matter Expert in all Ruggedcom products.
- Participate in network planning to provide input on applications, usage, integration and best practices.
- Provide feedback to management and Marketing for product requirements based on trends.
- Must be a self starter with excellent communication skills and act as customer interface while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- The incumbent will utilize telephone and remote isolation, diagnostic and resolution tools, documents and capabilities to resolve complex integrated end user implementation, configuration, and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Will include 3rd party products/solutions and onsite support. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and exercise appropriate discretion to establish customer relationship management for successful services delivery.
- Interface between the various engineering teams as needed to develop unique solutions and develop new business for our markets.
- Provide for RFQ’s, RFP’s and responses to RFT’s.
- Provide technical presentations and demonstrations of application technology
- Produce product spec sheets, applications notes, white papers, and assist with industry articles
- Excellent Project Management Skills and ability to multitask projects.
- To provide for documentation and training to Channel Partners and to Customers on RuggedCom products.
- Should have excellent internetworking experience, customer service and presentation skills and ability to handle issues from inception to conclusion.

Technical requirements
Working knowledge of configuring, implementing, proof of concept, troubleshooting, testing and design of the following technologies:
• TCP/IP, Ethernet , VLANs, RSTP/Spanning Tree (Strong emphasis on Layer 2)
• Network Security: Firewalls, VPN, IDS, Encryption, Auditing / Penetration Testing an asset
• Testing equipment – sniffers/protocol analyzers/traffic generators
• Wireless Technologies & NMS Systems
• Strong knowledge of Routing protocols – OSPF, RIPv2 (BGP an asset)
• Frame Relay, T1/T3, DSL

Special consideration will be given to candidates with the following attributes:
• 8 years or more experience providing solutions and technical support/onsite field services
• Recent (last 2 years) Cisco certifications or other vendor certifications: CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CISA, CEH, GSEC highly desirable
• Fluent in multiple languages an asset – German or French speaking a definite asset.
