Description:

This is a beautiful 11 year old mare, has broken her navicular bone in the fall 2008, though x-rays prove that she is healed. Ebony is easy to get ready for show, very calm, last show was August 2008. She was professionally trained and was used for eventing, as well as schooling and lessons. Ebony has only had tree owners, and the last one she lived with for 3 years. Sadly, Ebony could no longer be kept as the owner had to go away to university. She has hardly any vices other than getting aggravated by something/one. She visits the farrier regularly and seems to have no problem with him. Ebony requires shoes; on her front she wears ones with wedges that used to keep her heels up; after she heals she can remain barefoot. Ebony stands well for you as she?s tied; though she fidgets slightly, well for trailer. Likes to be by- herself at times, shows no sign of separation anxiety. She has never coliced before, never had any surgeries, has some lameness but is fit to ride. She is ridden almost 20 hours a month on some flat work and short hacks. Ebony can get grumpy at times; this is usually because she protects her owner. She can be fully pastured, but is preferred at the moment that she is kept stalled, with regular turn outs.
