The 20-inch Apex GT2015 uses a Pure Flat picture tube, which not only looks cool compared to a conventional, bulbous screen, but also provides a high-quality, high-contrast picture owing to the screen's ability to reduce reflected ambient light. It has a 4:3 aspect ratio, and three picture modes (normal, theater, memory) and four sound modes (speech, music, theater, memory) that let you customize the set for different uses.

The GT2015 has a built-in 181-channel tuner. It provides stereo audio (with 5 watts per channel) from broadcast programming via Multi-channel Television Sound (MTS), which permits broadcasters to encode stereo audio within the video portion of TV programming signals. It features a set of composite A/V connectors on the front of the TV, as well as two A/V inputs, one S-Video input, and one A/V output on the rear.

A black-level extension circuit enhances picture gradation, while digital geometric correction automatically configures the screen's image positioning with no mechanical adjustments required. The set also features a trilingual onscreen display (English, Spanish, French), closed-caption display, V-Chip parental control, a sleep timer, auto-off, channel recall, channel scan, and a unified remote control.
