Description:

Sold individually, these are BRAND NEW, but sudden notice of having to relocate requires selling off many items, these 3 included. The talking drum (aka dondo, adondo, atumpan, or gan gan) is a variable pitch pressure drum which has been used for centuries as a tool for communication within and between West African rural communities. By squeezing and beating the drum simultaneously the drum can be made to mimic the syllables and intonations of human speech, so with its variable pitch potentials it stands out as a unique 'voice', therefore being a notable addition to any drum circle or percussion group. Made in Northern Ghana, it's a solid one-piece hand-carved construction, with a goat skin head & strong vertical tuning cords. 19 ¾ x 7; 18 x 6 ½; 16 x 6. Curved beater included. These are great sounding drums, & note that worldwide, drum circles are expanding like crazy, now. Get on board and drum some! 416 963-9977
