Description:
Shaw Cablesystems G.P., the leading entertainment and communications company, has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Service Representative in our Saskatoon office. Reporting to the Supervisor, Technical Support, the successful candidate will be accountable for providing technical customer service support to our Internet customers in a call center environment.
Accountabilities:
Provide courteous and professional technical support to customers and technicians
Troubleshoot technical issues with regards to computer configurations, PC hardware and software
Work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks and provide assistance as required to other Technical Service Representatives
Escalate technical calls to the Technical Service Representative 2
Schedule and manage customer support work activities
Promote the features, advantages and benefits of Shaw products and services to our customers while delivering an exceptional customer experience
Various other duties as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 level education
A degree/diploma in computer technology would be considered an asset
Experience in troubleshooting computer and internet problems
Basic knowledge of cable television connections and related products
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, TCP/IP stack installation and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Macintosh would be an asset
Previous sales experience is considered an asset
Ability to work with others in a team environment as well as deal with the public
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work various shifts including weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays
A positive, can-do attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check
