Description:

OSTEOPATHY
Charles Pajvani, d.o., Lic. 06-0846
Membre du Syndicat Professionnel des Ostéopathes du Québec (CPMDQ)

Osteopaths strongly believe in the body’s innate tendency to strive towards a state of harmonious balance through built-in, self-regulating and self correcting mechanisms and they are trained to palpate (feel) the body’s living anatomy. Health problems are addressed with a non-invasive system of medicine called Osteopathic Manual Medicine.

The scope of Osteopathic Manual Medicine includes but is not limited to: Musculo-skeletal pains, Neurological syndromes, Headaches, Migraines, Dizziness, Bronchial problems, Asthma, Functional cardiac problems, Digestive problems, Menstrual irregularities, Etc.

ACUPUNCTURE
The practice of acupuncture is based on the philosophy of yin and yang—two opposite forces that govern all aspects of life, including health. Ailments result from an imbalance of these two forces, which is caused by the disruption or blockage of energy, or chi, in the body.

Acupuncturists commonly use thin metal needles as a means of stimulation to points along specific energy pathways, or meridians, to help chi flow freely. Massage, heat and magnets are also used as an alternative to the needles.
