Description:
My father was given this wood carving as a gift. He knows little of its origin but based off an appraisal it is thought to be 60’s folk art from the Gaspé region of Québec and is also thought to have a significant value.
The piece is approximately 1x1 foot and is in great condition. The knitting needle is a unique fit to this carving and is also removable. If you look closely, the initials “G.B.” are engraved on the base of the chair that the man is sitting in – unsure of whom or what this indicates. Perhaps you know…
