Description:
Formerly known as the CP Bike-a-thon, the 2009 Life Without Limits Challenge is being held in Calgary and Edmonton for persons of all ages and abilities. While each city offers different activities and challenges, the goal is one in the same - to raise money and awareness in support of the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta. This year's event will feature the Run, Walk n' Wheel Challenge where participants can walk, run or "wheel" their way to the finish line (wheel chairs and adapted bikes are encouraged!). Also back by popular demand for all to enjoy are the Ability Challenge stations that will be sure to test your mind and body! Volunteers are needed in the following positions: Race Marshals, Ability Station helpers, Registration table, Parking/Traffic control, food and BBQ tent enthusiasts, clothing donation table, Cheerleaders, prize/raffle table and set-up/take-down.
The event takes place on Saturday, September 19th at carburn park. Volunteer shifts occur between 8am and 3:30pm. Visit www.cpalberta.com for more details!!!
